WS100 Radar Precipitation Sensor

WS100 Radarový srážkoměr

Product description

The WS100 is a radar precipitation sensor from the German company Lufft designed for fast and accurate measurement of rain and snow precipitation. It uses a 24 GHz Doppler radar to measure. Measured data can be recorded in the data logger via RS-485 and SDI-12 interfaces.

The device is capable of detecting the type and size of precipitation (rain, snow, hail, freezing rain; 11 types of droplets with a size of 0.3-5.0 mm).The measurement is very fast and the device is able to register precipitation from the first drop. Based on the measured size and velocity of the precipitation particles, the rainfall intensity is calculated.

The measurement itself is energy-efficient, the power consumption ranges from 0.4 W (power saving mode) to 1 W. If the shield heating is active, the consumption increases by 9 W.The rain gauge is made of high quality materials that withstand the weather for a long time. The absence of moving parts ensures high reliability and maintenance-free operation, allowing the device to be deployed in hard-to-reach locations - no need for cleaning, emptying or any other regular intervention.
